I mentioned that I tend to play first thing in the morning, so one of the features (or lack-thereof) I tend to notice right away is the golf shoe's ability to resist water. If there was a drawback to this golf shoe, it not being waterproof would be it.
It does an OK job at repelling water, but honestly lacks in this department compared to other golf shoes available. This is primarily due to the mesh material used. The mesh is nice and makes the shoe comfortable and breathable, but as you can imagine, does not allow for a waterproof environment.

Let's start with the dura-rubber sole. The sole is equipped with seven plastic slim-lok cleats, which are replaceable using a standard cleat replacement tool such as this Spike Wrench from Champ Spikes. We found that the spikes allowed the Balboa TRX to have phenomenal grip in both dry and wet conditions.
No issues were experienced with water intrusion, validating that the waterproof material Callaway used truly works on this golf shoe. I have a buddy that has had a pair of the Balboa TRX's for over 2 years, and they still keep him dry to this date.
Both grip and water repelling capability are important features of this golf shoe, but for me what really stood out was the breathability and comfort/feel of the shoe.
Breathability in particular is a big deal for me. I was pretty impressed with the Opti-Vent mesh liner and how it made the golf shoe fairly breathable. I had been familiar with the opti-vent technology, but primarily only experienced it on Callaway's golf shirts. I was happy to see that the feature translated nicely to golf shoes.
When it comes to comfort, how the shoe felt on my foot, the Balboa TRX did not disappoint. The midsole does a great job of molding to the contour of my foot in the arch, creating a good amount of support and cushion. I found it to feel very soft, and natural. Another plus is that the inner soles are replaceable, so if you ever find the need to use something more to your liking, you have the ability to do so.

But out of the box they were a tad bit narrow. The good news is that Callaway offers both a regular width, and wide shoe size option. If I were to do it all over again, I would have purchased the wide shoe size.
Again, this may not be an issue for many of you, but thought I would call it out for those like me with a bit wider foot.
Lastly, let's talk about price point. The Balboa TRX typically sells for around $75-$100, so it is a little pricier than some of the other options. But, overall, it's a great value for the quality of shoe you'd be getting.

Please note, although there is both a spiked and spikeless version available, our thoughts and opinions below are specific to the spikeless Adidas 4orged golf shoe.
Lets talk a little bit about what makes this golf shoe special, and what changes Adidas incorporated. Adidas did extensive research during the design phase, paying specific attention at how weight shifts throughout the golf swing. As a result, they saw an opportunity and came up with a way to provide more stability without having to add extra material. That process, which is called forging, focuses on the areas where one could use extra stability and then heat presses those materials in that part of the shoe.
The heat press results in the material hardening in those target areas which in turn provides extra lateral support, and helps keep the weight of the shoe down, making it even more comfortable for golfers.
That's all good and great, but I don't need to know how it was designed, what are some of the features ? Glad you asked, here are some of the features that make this golf shoe special:

One minor drawback is that I found the tongue to be a little long, and as a result has a tendency to rub up against your shin while walking. You won't feel this while you're trying on the shoe, so its best to walk around a bit first and see if it is an issue for you. For those that ride in a golf cart it may be a non issue, but its something those that walk will want to take into consideration.

I also remember the FJ's to be quite heavy, and rather uncomfortable (keep in mind the last pair of FJ golf shoes I owned was in the early 2000's).
Not the case with the Pro/SL Golf Shoes. I was pleasantly surprised at how light they were on the feet. They were exceptionally comfortable to walk 18 with, thanks to the added cushioning made possible by FootJoy's fine tuned foam.
From a maintenance standpoint I'm excited that the golf shoes are spikeless, which means I don't have change them every couple of months. I didn't notice any issues with grip or traction either, which is always a concern when switching to a spikeless shoe.

When I first tried on the Men's Max golf shoes, my first impression was "man, these are pretty darn comfortable too". Aesthetically they look nice on the outside, but have a cheaper look than most of the other golf shoes on this list.
After playing a couple of rounds with them on, I was fairly EXTREMELY satisfied with them. The comfort and support was the best, and the shoe was quite breathable thanks in part to the mesh lining.
It rained for parts of a round, and did notice that my feet got a bit wet - I think this is also a byproduct of the mesh material - so I wouldn't count on them being 100% waterproof. Maybe Skechers knows this too since they don't offer a waterproof warranty like some of the other big name brands.
All in all, the Skechers Men's Max golf shoes are a great, budget friendly golf shoe that doesn't skimp on comfort - and our recommendation as the Best Golf Shoes for Walking.

From a performance standpoint, the Puma's are light and sturdy throughout the golf swing. The frame is sturdy yet flexible, thanks in part to the TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) material, and overall it felt very snug and as if they molded around my feet. Not too tight, not too loose, but just right.
I was very interested to see what kind of grip and traction the golf shoes had on the course, as these are not spiked, but at the same time not a traditional spikeless golf shoe.
Surprisingly, they do a fantastic job. I didn't have any issues with slipping, and felt that my balance over the ball during my swing was improved.
The anti clog bottoms do a great job too, as I haven't had to clean out the bottoms to date. Furthermore, the shoe cleans up nicely after every use. I just used a moist rag to wipe off the dust/dirt and the shoe looks as good as new.
I found the golf shoes to be very breathable, and the non stretch waterproof mesh has done a good job at keeping my feet dry.
All in all, the Puma Ignite NXT Lace Golf Shoe is a great option, and certainly one of the more stylish golf shoes in our list.

But from a comfort standpoint, the Skechers Go Golf 3 shoes truly excel. The comfort level, for which Skechers are well known for, is among the best in the industry.
Skechers used a combination of highly responsive 5Gen cushioning, and Resamax cushioning in the insole, to offer all day comfort and support. Honestly, had it not been for the lower price tag on the Golf Max shoes, these would have been my choice as the most comfortable golf shoe.
The waterproof design works, and although I haven't played through any severe downpours, the golf shoes hold up really well against the heavy morning dew. Skechers also offers a nice 2-year waterproof warranty, which goes to show how much they believe in the technology.
I thought the shoes were a bit heavier than some of the other golf shoes on the list, but still within the acceptable range.
All in all, if you're looking for something that is very comfortable and waterproof, and don't mind the Skechers aesthetic, then the Go Golf 3 shoes are a great option.

The cleats are removable, which is a nice feature, so you don't have to worry about wearing them out and having to buy a new pair of golf shoes. Just buy a pack of replacement cleats and you're good as new.
These golf shoes come in three different color options: black with green accents, white with red accents, and grey with blue accents.
Aesthetically they did a great job with the design, and I'm very pleased with the looks.

I was impressed with the grip provided by ECCO's dynamic traction system (DTS). I found it to be light and flexible, yet incredibly supportive.
You can definitely tell that this is a high quality, well designed golf shoe made with the most premium of materials.
I did get them a little muddy during one of my outings, but they're a breeze to clean off thanks to the Yak Leather. It's not really a cleaning that's required to restore them back to new after each round, more of a wiping off, and all the dirt and dust comes right off.
One of the rounds was played during a light, steady rain. Feet were dry at the end of the round, so the ECCO golf shoes did not disappoint in that department.

The shoe is fairly light, very comfortable, and has good support and response thanks to Nike's springy Lunarlon Cushion which is made of a high tech, spongy foam.

How do these golf shoes perform? Pretty darn well. I am a big fan of the wider sole base, as it gave me really nice support and control throughout my swing.
The removable spikes are a nice feature, and result in tremendous grip. I also like that I can slap on new replacement spikes when I feel that the current ones are wearing.
In terms of shoe size, these fit true to form. I'm the same size in my Nike running shoes, as I am in my pair of Nike Lunar Control II's. Also noticed that they were exceedingly comfortable right out of the box, there was no typical breaking in required.
